The High Line

The best thing to do on a dull Sunday - walk on the high line! It was raining last Sunday, but it cleared up by noon. Cancelled plans to go to the zoo, but this was the next best alternative! The High Line is on the west side, running along Chelsea-Meatpacking area. They recreated an old train track into a park by embedding plants where remains of the tracks still are. It's like restoring nature back from industrialization, but still making it into a new place people can enjoy. The design is great, but its also nice to see the city in a different perspective. I highly recommend to those even visiting NYC to go, better than some of the other touristy must-go places I would say.

Then we went to Billy's Bakery. I vote this place for best cupcakes in the city - beats Magnolia, Crumbs, Sugar Sweet Sunshine, Baked by Melissa (not even close...) Please try the Banana Bread Cupcake and the Carrot Cake Cupcake.
