I WANT EVERY PIECE FROM THE CARVEN S/S 11 LINE - INCLUDING THE MODEL'S BOB

I had to dedicate a separate post from the other collections shown in Paris because this was love at first sight. I am going to start putting some money aside so I can get a few pieces from Carven next year!

My 5 Fav Parisian Collections

1. Lanvin: ZOMG! feminine neutral palette, luxurious fabric, new leather choker-belts... I am so happy to see something new from Alber Elbaz. This is a very successful transition from the previous silhouettes I was getting tired of (but will still stand in line for the H&M collab that still focuses on that silhouette).

2. Viktor & Rolf: They never ever disappoint! this collection is crazy/beautiful. I love how the simple tuxedo shirt is blasted out of proportion - and I could see a bridal following here as well! I hope to see a lot of this in editorials for Spring.

3. Givenchy: Although I hate the hair and makeup, I love how the clothes are styled- Leopard+B&W could look so tailored and clean while the sheer flowy bottoms balances out the look perfectly.

4. Costume National: The color palette is spot-on and bold. I love the easiness of each look. Costume is definitely the European's Calvin Klein...although this season Costume did it better.

5. Christian Dior: The overall collection evokes the emotion of summer and has a few standout pieces. Glitzy glam island party with plenty of champagne and sailor boys.

Spring 2011: My top picks from Milan

To start off, I have to say I was extremely disappointed with London that I have no desire to pick any as my top 3. Milan kind of made it up for me though. I think Milan had a refined and subdued feel throughout, or at least those were my favorites.

1. Jil Sander - I was surprised by the use of mix and match bold colors, yet it looked tasteful and well thought out. The t-shirt-maxi-sack-dress looks really easy and sporty, and I feel like women will be flocking to buy those jackets and dresses.

2. Dolce & Gabbana - I am a sucker for an all-white collection (minus this season's Alexander Wang...what happened?? Nevermind.) The lace done in many ways and the layering of sheer whites is such a dream.

3. MaxMara - The peek-a-boo suit *drool* and the use of luxe fabric won me over. I also love the usage of bold single-tone outfits.
